The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are returning to the big screen with their fifth installment in the movie franchise. The Mirage Group, which owns the property, is moving forward with a live-action film focusing on the origins of the iconic crime fighters and is targeting a 2011 release.

A lot of remakes and sequels and prequels are coming out of Hollywood lately. Much like the economy, i’m thinking Hollywood is bankrupt as well…on ideas that is. However lets try to be optimistic and look on the bright side of things and cross our fingers for the return of Vanilla Ice and his lyrical prowess in the next Ninja Turtle movie…

An anti-gay marriage ad paid for by The National Organization for Marriage is spawning a myriad of parodies as its message of allowing gay marriage will violate people’s right, is infuriating people to action. Here is the ad in question below.

Funny or Die just released a star-studded parody that boasts Alicia Silverstone, Lance Bass, George Takei, and Sarah Chalke. The ad offers an answer to the gay marriage issue: a giant gay-repellent umbrella that will shield god-fearing Americans from the storm.

In an attempt to quell the firestorm after her remarks on gay marriage on Sunday at the Miss USA pageant, Miss California Carrie Prejean spoke in an interview for Access Hollywood on Monday morning, revealed that her sister is a gay rights activist.

“My sister is a second lieutenant in the Air Force and she is a gay rights activist,” Carrie told Billy Bush. Her sister, she added, is not gay. “No. She supports gay people, she supports gay marriage. My beliefs have nothing to do with my sister or my mom, or whatever.”
“She was just in my hotel room and she said, ‘Sis, I’m not offended by anything that you said. We have two different opinions and I love you because of it. I love you because you stood up for what was right, and it’s not a matter of being gay or not gay, it’s a matter of you competing for Miss USA and getting a question and answering it to the best of your ability.”

“I’m against Gay marriage, but I still support world peace and a cure for cancer. Can I have my crown now?” I have to say I feel a bit sorry for her. She’s hardly the first public figure to come down on the wrong side of history when it comes to civil rights.

Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton was crowned Miss USA 2009 yesterday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The 22-year-old aspiring motivational speaker and entertainer from Wilmington edged out first runner-up Miss California USA Carrie Prejean, of San Diego, and second runner-up Miss Arizona USA Alicia-Monique Blanco, of Phoenix. Dalton’s victory has earned her a year’s use of a New York City apartment, a public relations team, a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy and an undisclosed salary. She also will go to the Bahamas in August to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. The highlight of the night however, was Miss California’s answer to a question about legalizing same-sex marriage:

“We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage,” Prejean said. “And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali is being sold by her father Rafiq Qureshi, who is demanding millions of rupees worth £200,000. The 9 year old sensation is being put up for adoption as Rafiq declared: “I have to consider what’s best for me, my family and Rubina’s future.” According to News Of The World:

Internet phenomenon and singing sensation, Susan Boyle has been offered $1 million to lose her virginity on camera by porn company, Kick Ass Pictures. Boyle captured the public’s attention this week after a video clip on YouTube of her singing on the show “Britain’s Got Talent” went viral and catapulted her into internet celebrity-dom. Boyle, 47, who claims to have never even been kissed, wowed all three judges with her stirring performance. Kick Ass President Mark Kulkis remarked:

“The logical extension of [having never been kissed] is that she’s still a virgin. We have always wanted to produce a movie in which a bona fide virgin loses her maidenhood on camera. That’s a very personal, intimate moment in a woman’s life. Doing it in front of bright lights and cameras in a San Fernando Valley studio will make it that much more special.”

If Boyle accepts the offer, Kick Ass will fly her to L.A. (on Virgin Airlines) and allow her to choose her potential co-stars, Ron Jeremy being a “perfect match” according to Kulkis. The plan also calls for Boyle to record her own theme song for the movie that will be released as a single.

Lets all hope to God that she refuses the offer. A Susan Boyle sextape is a cruel and unusual punishment and should be strictly prohibitied as stated by the 8th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm and Carl Lundström of Pirate Bay infamy were all found guilty today of contributory copyright infringement, and each sentenced to a year in prison. In addition to jail time, the defendants were also ordered to pay damages of $3.6 million to a few entertainment companies, including Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Bros, EMI and Columbia Pictures, for the infringement of 33 specific movie and music properties. The Pirate Bay’s spokesman made a statement over Twitter:

“Stay calm — Nothing will happen to TPB, us personally or file sharing whatsoever. This is just a theater for the media.”

Regardless of who is right or wrong here, the entertainment groups and the RIAA are all just pissing into the wind. Even if they managed to take down The Pirate Bay, there are dozens of other torrent trackers out there, none of them too hard to find. They need to adopt and embrace a new system and let go of the past

Ex-cheerleading coach Carlie Christine was fired from her job at Casa Robles High School in California, after school officials were informed that Christine had posed for Playboy and appeared on their site as Cyber Girl of the Week. Parents and some students, who did not want to be identified, exposed the coach to school officials after rumors started slowly getting out that she had posed nude. What apparently uncovered the coach was when some girls didn’t make the cheerleading squad because they had a few unexcused absences from school. Their parents then made copies of Christine and dropped the pictures on the principal’s desk. This is pretty ridiculous. If a chick wants to pose nude in her off time, she should be allowed to do so without backlash. The human body is a beautiful thing and to still carry a 17th century mentality is more damaging to soceity than anything. All bullshit aside, this chick is smoking hot and if she gets reinstated, does anyone know how to enroll a 30 year old in high school?

Former NFL running back Travis Henry has pleaded guilty to trafficking cocaine in a federal drug case that could land him in prison for 10 years or more. Appearing in federal court in Billings, Mont., on Thursday, Henry admitted to a single count of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute. He was arrested in Denver last October after authorities broke apart a drug ring that trafficked cocaine between Colorado and Montana.
