Here’s a video of douchebag Chris Brown apologizing for assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna in February. I’m thinking this video could have been more effective with some more dramatic lighting, some sad music playing in the background and some well placed tears before and after his apology.

Chris Brown released a video yesterday to promote his new album and to tell everyone that he’s “not a monster.”….

Mike Tyson has decided to weigh in on the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna situation. In a recent interview with MTV News, the former boxing champion offered his views:

“It’s none of my business, but you know what I say about that? I understand the situation. I understand passion with young kids,”

“My personal opinion about that is, he’s just a baby,” adds the former heavyweight champ, who is the subject of a new documentary, Tyson, out Friday. “He’s just a little baby that don’t know how to handle his emotions when it comes to a woman. And he probably hears this and thinks, ‘I know how to handle my emotions’; we all think we do. But the fact [is],” Tyson continues, “you look at this person and you might be crazy in love, but we don’t know how to handle those feelings.”

Mike Tyson should be the last person to give advice on handling emotions. Let’s take a history lesson:

February 7, 1988 to February 14, 1989 – The Robin Givens Years defined by allegations of violence, spousal abuse and mental instability.

February 10, 1992 – Tyson convicted of raping Desiree Washington.

June 28, 1997 – Tyson bites off a piece of Evander Holyfields right ear.

August 31, 1998 – Tyson assaults two motorists after a traffic accident.

A Chris Brown ‘dis’ record is making its rounds on radio stations across America. Smoke Jumpers crafted the song “My Flow So Tight” after one of the members, C.W. Griz, felt not enough people in the music industry had spoken out against the singer.

“I was really upset with the way a lot of celebrities and people were handling the situation, not enough people were speaking out against Chris Brown. What he did was a thousand percent wrong.”

Chris Brown and Rihanna were noticeably absent from this years Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Chris Brown, who was nominated for favorite male singer and favorite song for “Kiss Kiss", withdrew his name from contention after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna, who was also nominated for favorite female singer and favorite song for “Don’t Stop the Music”. I’m thinking Chris Brown’s career amongst kids and teens is pretty much over. No viable pop music outlet will entertain another Chris Brown album. I’m also thinking his best bet would be hip hop. They entertain thugs, murderers and drug dealers, why wouldn’t they entertain a wife beater?

DoSomething.org has released a PSA re-enacting the abuse Chris Brown placed upon Rihanna through details from a Los Angeles police affidavit alleging that on Feb. 8, Brown punched, bit and choked Rihanna until she nearly lost consciousness.

According to Nancy Lubin, DoSomething.org chief executive officer:

We didn’t want to be overdramatic. Our goal was not to shoot a Lifetime TV movie. … There was no need to sensationalize things. It was bad enough.
The public is very focused right now on Chris and Rihanna,” she said. “I think people need to realize that this is an issue that goes beyond those particular people, and it affects everybody of every race. And so we wanted this to not be an exact re-enactment. We wanted instead to say: Could this be you?

Jesus Christ, I didn’t know the abuse was that bad. Why isn’t Chris Brown in jail right now???

Chris Brown has one ace in the hole left if he needs Rihanna to stick around to save his career….a SEXTAPE! Star is reporting:

Rihanna allowed Chris to record some of their, um, intimate moments and — she worries that the racy tapes could ruin her — especially after seeing how quickly Chris turned on her once before.

“Rihanna has no issues with her sexuality,” a source tells Star. “But she’d be mortified if her friends and family found this out!”

I really don’t understand why celebrities still continue to churn out sextapes in spite of the every present danger of it being released. Yeah, sextapes can be used as a p.r. tool, but those are usually reserved for people with no talent and undeserving of fame…think Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. But for celebrities who have made it with their talents, this should be a no-no.

Are Chris Brown and Rihanna on the outs? Hopefully but friends close to Rihanna have said the two are ‘taking a break’ with Chris Brown currently residing in Los Angeles and Rihanna residing in New York. According To E!:

It’s no coincidence that Rihanna and Chris Brown are on opposite coasts right now.
According to a source close to the couple, they have been “taking a break.”

The source tells E! News that the pair are not calling it a formal breakup, but have decided to put some distance between them. We are told they plan to see each other soon.

Reps for both singers have not returned calls seeking comment on the break.

Last Thursday, Rihanna flew to New York City, where she, Brandy, Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly enjoyed a quiet dinner together at the Spotted Pig Friday night.

Meanwhile, Brown has remained in Los Angeles. Sources tell E! that the “Kiss Kiss” singer has spent the entire time working on his album, most recently at the Record Plant in Hollywood.

When a man spatters your blood all over the inside of his car I’d say it’s time for a permanent break.
