The holy defender of the sanctity of marriage and reigning Miss California, Carrie Prejean is taking her anti-gay marriage campaign to Washington. In a interview today on The Today Show, this messenger from God said she will be working with the National Organization for Marriage to “protect traditional marriages.” The 21-year-old says that marriage is “something that is very dear to my heart” and she’s in Washington to help save it.

She first talks about how great it is to have a choice to have gay or straight marriage in America (except 46 states), then she claims she was merely expressing her own view, and now she’s campaigning against gay marriage. If she wants to protect traditional marriages she should first seek to protect it within the heterosexual ranks. A 50% divorce rate is shameful and would put a tear in God’s eye.
