NFL broadcasting legend, John Madden has announced his retirment from broadcasting after 30 years of analysing NFL games. Madden started his career in broadcasting at CBS after leaving the Oakland Raiders in 1979. He then moved to Fox in 1994 after CBS lost the rights to air NFL games. In 2002 Madden switched to ABC to analyse games for Monday Night Football and joined NBC in 2006 when the network started broadcasting Sunday night games. Madden’s exuberance for football and blue-collar persona endeared him to TV viewers for three decades. Now here’s a guy that really knew how to make a call – you see he starts out talking about the play on the field and BOOM! Brett Favre! All b.s. aside, he was a true legend of the game and I posted below one of more stand out moments on David Letterman.
