America’s favorite emergency room drama is finally ending its 15 year run tonight on NBC. This medical drama won 22 Emmy Awards and at its apex commanded an audience of 30 million viewers and churned out notable names like Geroge Clooney and….George Clooney. If one hour wasn’t enough for you, get ready for a 3 hour series finale. ER was still a pretty solid show, but it was time for it to go for obvious reasons and with it goes the last remnant of the era in which NBC practically owned network television and the official network race to the bottom of the barrel begins. The next question that comes to mind is….When will the Simpsons be put out of its misery?

Maura Tierney is an underrated and under appreciated babe. That being said it wasn’t enough for me to ever watch the show. Personally, I’m sick of shows about doctors, cops, and lawyers. LOST is the end all be all of television dramas as far as I’m concerned. It is none of the above and it’s not a rip off of some BBC or other foreign program. It’s the only original concept on TV.
